This project focuses on empowering women through sustainable income-generating activities and strong community support systems. We work closely with women by organizing them into structured women’s groups, including Village Community Banks (VICOBA), to promote financial inclusion, savings, and entrepreneurship.
As part of economic empowerment, we support women with poultry farming by providing hens, enabling them to generate regular income through egg production and sales. This activity improves household income, nutrition, and financial independence.
In addition, we assist women with start-up capital and skills development to produce traditional Maasai ornaments such as bracelets, earrings, and other handmade crafts. These products preserve cultural heritage while creating reliable marketable goods for local and external markets.
Through group formation, access to capital, and practical livelihood support, women gain business skills, confidence, and decision-making power within their families and communities. The project encourages self-reliance, collaboration, and long-term economic stability.
This initiative not only strengthens women’s economic position but also contributes to improved family welfare, children’s education, and community development.
